What the Client Needed.
The client had just taken delivery of a new Tesla Model 3 and was relying on a standard 10A power point in the garage to charge. At 10A, a full charge from empty takes around 30 hours, not practical for daily use. They needed a dedicated circuit and Wall Connector before the car went into regular use.
The existing switchboard was assessed prior to confirm it had capacity for a new 32A circuit, it did, with room to spare. The client also wanted the cable run kept clean: no exposed conduit on the garage wall, everything run through the wall cavity.
Kenny quoted the job the same morning as the site visit, confirmed scope, and booked the install for the following day. Start to finish, including commissioning and app pairing, took under four hours.

Switchboard Assessment

Cable Run, Concealed in Wall Cavity
6mm twin and earth run from switchboard through ceiling cavity and down the internal face of the garage wall. No exposed surface conduit. Access holes patched.
32A Dedicated Circuit Installed
New 32A Type B MCB installed at the switchboard. Circuit labelled, tested for polarity, continuity, and insulation resistance before the charger was connected.
Wall Connector Mounted & Commissioned
Tesla Wall Connector Gen 3 mounted at 1200mm. Paired to the client's Tesla app, charge schedule configured, output confirmed at 7.4kW.
Certificate of Electrical Safety Issued
Full compliance check completed. Certificate of Electrical Safety issued on the day. Welcome pack left with the client before Kenny left site.
