Can you replace halogens with LEDs in one visit?
In most cases, yes. A standard home retrofit — replacing all halogen downlights with LEDs, can be completed in a single visit. Kenny will assess the job on-site and let you know if anything unusual requires a second visit before any work starts.
Why does my dimmer flicker or buzz with LED lights?
Most flickering and buzzing is caused by an incompatible dimmer switch — one rated for halogen loads being used with LED fittings. The fix is a proper LED-compatible dimmer switch wired correctly for the circuit load. Kenny sorts this as a standalone job.
Do outdoor lights need to be hardwired?
For permanent installations — pathways, gardens, driveways, security lighting — yes. Plug-in fittings on extension leads are a safety risk outdoors and won't comply with Australian Standards. Kenny runs proper weatherproof wiring in conduit to all outdoor fittings.
How many downlights does a room need?
It depends on room size, ceiling height, and the lumen output of the fitting. Kenny will plan the layout on-site to ensure even coverage before any holes are made. You won't end up with dark corners or over-lit spaces.
