Common Questions

Electrical & Power
Questions Answered.

Does every electrical job get a Certificate of Electrical Safety?

Yes, on every compliant electrical job. The certificate is issued on the day of completion and forms part of your welcome pack alongside Kenny's certificate of insurance and Working With Children's Check. It's not optional and it's never an add-on.

How do I know if my switchboard needs replacing?

Common signs include: circuits tripping frequently, the board still uses ceramic fuses rather than circuit breakers, there are no RCD safety switches, or the home is being sold and the conveyancer has flagged the board. Kenny can assess the board on a site visit and give you a written quote before any work is committed to.

What does residential electrical cover?

It covers anything electrical in a residential home that doesn't fall under a more specific service category, fault finding, circuit repairs, outdoor wiring, circuit additions, load balancing, and more. If you're not sure whether your job fits, just call and describe what you need.

Is there a call-out fee for an electrical quote?

No. Kenny provides a free written quote on-site before any work begins. The price you're quoted is the price you pay, there are no hidden charges and no invoice surprises at the end of the job.
