Switchboard Capacity Assessment

Before any work begins, Kenny assesses the existing switchboard to confirm available capacity for a new 32A circuit. If the board needs upgrading to support the new circuit, this is quoted separately and can be completed at the same visit.

Dedicated 32A Sub-Circuit

A new 32A circuit is run from the switchboard to the garage or parking area. A Type B MCB is installed at the switchboard, the circuit is labelled, and the cable is run through the wall cavity where accessible.

Charger Mounting and Connection

The charger is wall-mounted at the correct height, connected to the new circuit, and tested. App pairing and charge schedule configuration are completed before handover for smart chargers.

Certificate of Electrical Safety

A Certificate of Electrical Safety is issued on the day of completion. This is required by most EV manufacturers to validate the charging equipment warranty.
